My Approach

Dr. Pyke-Grimm is a Nurse Scientist in the Department of Nursing Research and Evidence-Based Practice at 麻豆果冻传媒 Children鈥檚 Health.聽 She has over 30 years of experience as a Pediatric Hem/Onc/SCT Clinical Nurse Specialist. She graduated with her Bachelor of Nursing Degree from Dalhousie University, Master of Nursing Degree from UCLA and PhD in Nursing from UCSF. Dr. Pyke-Grimm completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Palliative Care at Stanford University. She has a Certificate in Pediatric Bioethics from the Children's Mercy Bioethics Center. She holds an appointment as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Stanford School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics, Division of Hem/Onc. Her research interests include treatment decision making in children, adolescents, and young adults with cancer, and their families, palliative care and clinical ethics. She teaches in the Department of Pediatrics and UCSF School Nursing (adjunct faculty) and holds leadership positions in the Children鈥檚 Oncology Group and International Family Nursing Association. She is on the editorial boards of several pediatric journals and has received research funding from multiple sources.
