My Approach

When asked why I chose to be a pediatrician I explain that I was drawn to the medical, behavioral and emotional spectrum of care from birth to young adulthood. Development in all the phases of childhood is fascinating.

My goal is to be a guide for families. I spend time finding out about the people who care for the children. When I have some understanding of family life, I can give the best medical and developmental advice for that family. Every child and family are unique and deserve individualized care.

Over the past five years I have expanded my education in lactation medicine and am now a Board-Certified Lactation Consultant. I saw a need for a voice in lactation and breastfeeding that brought in education prior to delivery and beyond. I am passionate about incorporating this into my future practice.

The long-term relationships I have developed with my families is truly the reason I became a pediatrician.
